While I personally admire the way Chris Hughton conducts himself and behaves as a manager this didn't actually come as much of a shock. Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed that Chris Hughton has left the club with immediate effect. Hughton’s assistant Paul Trollope and first-team coach Paul Nevin have also left. Chairman Tony Bloom said, “Chris has done an excellent job over the past four and a half years. First stabilising our club, reaching the play-offs in his first full season, securing our first ever promotion to the Premier League, and retaining our status in two successive seasons. “Undoubtedly, this has been one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make as chairman of Brighton & Hove Albion, but ultimately one I have made due to how we struggled in the second half of the season. “Our run of 3 wins from 23 Premier League matches put our status at significant risk. It is with that in mind, and the performances during that period, that I now feel it’s the right time for a change. “Chris will always be very fondly remembered by Albion staff and fans as one of our club’s finest and most-respected managers. “I would like to wish Chris, Paul and Paul – who have all worked extremely hard throughout their time here – every success for the future, and thank them on behalf of everyone at the club. “They will always be welcome at the Amex, and will be remembered here with great affection.” The club have confirmed that the process to find Chris’s successor is underway, and that there will be no further comment at this stage. Well here it is at last.... RafaIt is with disappointment that we announce manager Rafael Benítez will leave Newcastle United upon the expiry of his contract on 30th June 2019. We have worked hard to extend Rafa’s contract over a significant period of time, however it has not been - and will not be - possible to reach an agreement with Rafa and his representatives. Rafa’s coaching staff, Paco de Míguel Moreno, Antonio Gómez Pérez and Mikel Antia, will also leave the club on 30th June. We would like to thank Rafa and his coaching team for their efforts over the last three years and their significant contribution to what has been collectively achieved. We would also like to thank our supporters, players and staff for their patience during a period of uncertainty. The process to appoint a successor will now begin. If this wasn't so predictable it's enough to make grown men cry! LIghts Oot!

Spurs have made a decision... The Club can today announce that Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino and Antoni Jimenez have been relieved of their duties. Chairman, Daniel Levy, said: "We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste. “Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing. “It falls to the Board to make the difficult decisions - this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff - but we do so in the Club's best interests. “Mauricio and his coaching staff will always be part of our history. I have the utmost admiration for the manner in which he dealt with the difficult times away from a home ground whilst we built the new stadium and for the warmth and positivity he brought to us. I should like to thank him and his coaching staff for all they have contributed. They will always be welcome here. “We have a talented squad. We need to re-energise and look to deliver a positive season for our supporters.” We shall provide an update on new coaching staff in due course. So there you have it... Lights Oot!

Fun and games in Narf London Town as if one going wasn't enough The Gooner's made this public last week... We announce today that the decision has been taken to part company with our head coach Unai Emery and his coaching team. Speaking on behalf of the Arsenal board and our owners Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, Josh Kroenke said: “Our most sincere thanks go to Unai and his colleagues who were unrelenting in their efforts to get the club back to competing at the level we all expect and demand. We wish Unai and his team nothing but future success.” The decision has been taken due to results and performances not being at the level required. We have asked Freddie Ljungberg to take responsibility for the first team as interim head coach. We have full confidence in Freddie to take us forward. The search for a new head coach is underway and we will make a further announcement when that process is complete. In fact it's been a pretty torrid week for Premier League managers as Watford announced their main mans departure. With regret, Watford Football Club confirms the departure of Head Coach Quique Sánchez Flores. "Quique is a man of great integrity and it was clear how much he wanted to have a positive impact, but ultimately results have dictated our decision," said Hornets' Chairman & CEO Scott Duxbury. "The appointment of a new Head Coach is imminent, and with nearly two-thirds of the season remaining, we will provide all the support necessary to make the coming months successful." No further comment from Watford FC will be made until a new Head Coach is announced. So there you have it with no doubt a few more sweating before the Christmas and New Year fixture madness commences prior to the January transfer window opening. Modern day football at its best. Lights Oot!

When it comes to certain things the Premier League is often very predictable hence the news another manager bites the dust this week following on from the two last week. Everton Football Club can confirm that manager Marco Silva has left the Club along with first-team staff Luis Boa Morte, Gonçalo Pedro, Hugo Oliveira, Bruno Mendes and Antonios Lemonakis. Majority Shareholder Farhad Moshiri, Chairman Bill Kenwright and the Board of Directors would like to thank Marco and his coaching team for their service over the last 18 months and wish them well for the future. Duncan Ferguson has taken temporary charge of the first team and will manage the side for the game against Chelsea on Saturday. The Club aims to confirm a new permanent manager as swiftly as possible. So that's three Clubs all looking for a new Manager. I shall read with interest just who fancies the job at any of them... Lights Oot!

There are times you have to scratch your head and say "The World of Football is like no other"....here's the official statement from Chelski, Chelsea Football Club have today parted company with Head Coach Frank Lampard. This has been a very difficult decision, and not one that the owner and the Board have taken lightly. We are grateful to Frank for what he has achieved in his time as Head Coach of the Club. However, recent results and performances have not met the Club’s expectations, leaving the Club mid-table (that's 9th) without any clear path to sustained improvement. There can never be a good time to part ways with a club legend such as Frank, but after lengthy deliberation and consideration it was decided a change is needed now to give the Club time to improve performances and results this season. Roman Abramovich said, “This was a very difficult decision for the Club, not least because I have an excellent personal relationship with Frank and I have the utmost respect for him. “He is a man of great integrity and has the highest of work ethics. However, under current circumstances we believe it is best to change managers. “On behalf of everyone at the Club, the Board and personally, I would like to thank Frank for his work as Head Coach and wish him every success in the future. He is an important icon of this great club and his status here remains undiminished. He will always be warmly welcomed back at Stamford Bridge.” The Club will be making no further comment until such time as a new Head Coach is appointed. WL
