That may be true on both counts, however until we hear from the Capt'n on who he suggests should be manager nothing is taken for granted. He may well float back from Oz on a wave of optimism, but don't expect it to last long once he hits these shores. After all it's The Toon we are supporting remember. Lights Oot!

Read today that JC is a possible (some say probable). Methinks the other JC would be a better option. Either way we are up shite Creek without a paddle

Carver and Stone are the easy options for OMBO in the short term, however this next month is fraught with danger for him in that many fans will be making decisions on whether to renew ST's or not. No new manager, plus no players incoming or a few gone out by end of January is a huge gamble, unless of course Mikey has finally decided to sell up and move on to his new Rangers project. Major drawback to that is having someone willing to buy at what he thinks is an acceptable price. Don't exactly see many interested parties forming orderly queue around Gallowgate anytime soon to discuss things never mind make him an offer he can't refuse.
As for replacing the missing a paddle well you could always acquire one from Shite Direct during January sales.

This lot comes via TF but worth the read....not all of it is close to the reality of supporting The Toon during OMBO's tenure, however always useful to observe what others believe is going on at Gallowgate and particularly as the chief spokesperson for the regime has now left the building. Bye Bye Pardew...Bye...Bye....!Lights Oot! blackandwhitethinking

WTF? Why would I want to pull a Magpie? I'm a married man. Broon may well speak the same language, but the meaning totally lost in transit while crossing the Atlantic... Lights Oot!

Here's something worth looking at..... Perhaps it's not all Ashley's fault...I can see what this guy is getting at, however if the sum total of ambition is to finish outside the bottom three each season then following The Toon lends itself to armchair fans rather than those actually preferring to sit in the ground to be entertained. Should OMBO continue with this policy of treating match attending supporters with total disdain he may well find quite a few more will join those that already have no interest in the product he is serving up. The sale of players and purchase of new ones is nothing more than OMBO's way of keeping the wheels turning and driven by income generation for his other commercial ventures rather than any actual success on the pitch. The total disregard for competing in the domestics cups a clear indicator of that approach, if one is really needed to convince those that do remain sceptical of Ashley's raison d'etre. Mikey may well be perceived by those that are less critical to have saved the Club from going into financial meltdown, however I would argue it has been at a greater cost, especially the way in which supporters feel about this once great Club. A romantic viewpoint perhaps, but plenty of my friends who were once die hard attendees now hardly look for the result never mind where we are in the league table. Worse still is that it has a knock on affect with children and grandchildren, who are now more interested in Barcelona or Real Madrid than the Club on the door step. For me that is the lasting damage that OMBO has done while at and possibly the most damning part of his seven year reign. Lights Oot! blackandwhitethinking
