Along a similar vein you have to read the following...and no I didn't write the piece...but was very close in thinking it! Are we for real?Just in case there's any problem with the link above... Whilst the propaganda bandwagon rolls on and Alan Pardew revels in tales of his own bullsh*t, it's getting harder to believe that people fall for it. Aside from the usual guff that we can't compete and every game is difficult, now we're being subjected to the hoaring up of French flop Gabriel Obertan. I saw the same game as everyone else on Saturday and can't believe that Pardew isn't being pulled up on his utter crap, although personally I reckon that he sees things differently to everyone else anyway and will big himself up whenever he can. The statement he made when he said that Mike Ashley makes strange decisions sometimes because he doesn't understand football could apply to him as well because he doesn't. As it is, Pardew is bigging himself up by saying that he was looking to sell Obertan but realised that he had unused potential. Cut the crap Alan, no-one wanted him so we got lumbered with the headless chicken, although to Obertan's credit, he's looked the least worst out of everyone but still short of being good. Saturday was no different and I would have subbed him before the hour mark, such was his ineffectiveness. Anyway, Pardew has been spouting this in the media, trying to credit himself. When he came back pre-season, and I had assembled a new squad, I knew he could be a part of it, and I told him that. From the moment we set foot in pre-season, I`ve been trying to build his confidence. This is a player, when we finished fifth, who played a big part in that season. He has not been the same since that year, because he has had injuries and in and outs. He`s a confidence player. When he has confidence, this guy can be unplayable at times. I can agree with one thing Pardew says, Obertan is unplayable. To think we got rid of Marveaux and Ben Arfa for this. Are we for real? Lights Oot! blackandwhitethinking
