On loan striker (sic) Islam Slimani has been charged with violent conduct after appearing to kick out at West Brom defender Craig Dawson, the Football Association has announced. The frontman was charged following an incident during Saturday's 1 - 0 Premier League defeat by the Baggies at St James' Park.
Got to be honest and doing a Wenger as I didn't see it during the game, however would like to read your views on the player and whether he is worth signing?
While he made a difference in a couple of games for the most part his spell at The Toon in my opinion has been pathetic. As with others recently he never hit the back of the net during his time here which just about sums it up.
The Toon's goal scoring problem remains unresolved and for what it's worth I would sell Nitro then trust Rafa to find another young guy to make the step up. That's if the Gaffer hasn't actually pulled off another brilliant piece of management with the young Serb by giving him a platform on loan in the Championship to show he can succeed then hope he has great World Cup before bringing him back to SJP for next season.

Statement today from Club about the player...
Islam Slimani will miss Newcastle United’s next three matches after he was charged with violent conduct.
He accepted the charge but argued the suspension was excessive. This was rejected by an Independent Regulatory Commission.
The forward was involved in an off-the-ball incident during Saturday’s game against West Bromwich Albion at St. James' Park.
All things considered and that fans give stick to Nitro for being brainless at times just goes to show he's not the only one. It also puts paid to his loan spell and I would be very surprised if he makes a return to The Toon come the Summer especially when Leicester want so much money for him.
