Further news from Southern France that are in negotiations with Moroccan born Moustapha Kaka. This midfielder is a solid passer with very fluid movements.. He always wears skintight strips, and is always touching cloth. His nickname is Skid, because of his middle name Mark. His positional sense is aromatic, but nasty. Dont know the credibility of this story....or whether its just another load of shit to make up the total transfer bullshit that surrounds Joe Feckinear and anybody associated with the Fatman. WE AINT BUYING ANYBODY UNLESS WE SELL SOMEBODY.............AND ONLY AT A PROFIT...........GET REAL GUYS. Agreed Canny!!

Canny I think odds going in your favour by the day....anyway here's another one we can scratch off the list for sure. Chelsea have announced the signing of winger Mohamed Salah from Basle. The capture of the Egypt international, which is subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical, could mean Juan Mata's move to Manchester United will now go ahead. A statement on chelseafc.com read: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm an agreement has been reached with FC Basel for the transfer of their 21-year-old attacking midfielder Mohamed Salah. "The move is subject to the Egyptian international agreeing personal terms and completing a medical examination." He becomes Chelsea's third signing of the winter transfer window, following Bertrand Traore and Nemanja Matic. So impressed was Jose Mourinho with Salah's performance as Chelsea twice lost to Basle in the Champions League group stages that the Blues boss made his move. Salah scored in three of the Swiss side's four recent meetings with Chelsea - a goal in each of this season's Group E Champions League wins and also netting in the second leg of last term's Europa League semi-final. Newcastle had been reported as about to hi-jack this transfer from The Red Scousers, however as usual someone else beat them to it as Liverpool earlier on today conceded defeat in their pursuit of the winger. Pulling power of the money Clubs wins again and don't get me started about financial fair play! WL

Particularly at Christmas hoping against hope that possibly just possibly you might get that present you crave only to find that there is nothing there(again).

With less than a week to go in the January window the rumour machine is still in full flow regarding ... Latest sh... err! story is that another Frenchman is on the radar, this time attacking-midfielder Clement Grenier, 23, who is allegedly valued at about £10million. The France international, currently at Lyon plays either wide on the right or behind a main striker, and apparently according to the Sunday Daily Star has attracted plenty of interest from England’s top flight. Arsenal and Liverpool in particular have been linked with a move for him. Quite where The Toon come into this is anyone's guess. Next in the Sunday round up is that according to The Mirror Papiss Cisse can leave Newcastle for £6million this summer as the Senegalese International has, yes you guessed it, a buy-out clause, set to be activated in July. Apparently Cisse is interested in going and a number Qatar Stars League clubs (Al-Rayyan head the race) are chasing Cisse, 28, who is out of form and favour on Tyneside. Not sure I would say he is out of favour, but his form is shocking, FFS! As an aside it's also stated that The Magpies still have Luuk de Jong, 23, also on their radar. I suggest our most benevolent owner gets someone in to look at it as I think it's probably knackered from going round and round and round and round... I think you get the idea. Then we get to this wonderful piece of journalism to be found in The Sun on Sunday...what a complete crock of sh*t. Loic Remy has turned down the chance to join Newcastle on a permanent basis, The Sun on Sunday claim. Remy is on a season-long loan (we know FFS!) from QPR, and Magpies boss Alan Pardew is hoping (aren't we all?) to keep the France forward at St James’ Park. It is claimed (only by you lot) Newcastle and Rangers (and there was me thinking this was the lot from over the border in Scotland) agreed (did they?) a £10m fee (How much, you're having a laugh!) but that Remy is keeping his options open (I bet he is or at least his agent will be), believing he could attract interest from other clubs if he impresses at this summer’s World Cup (always providing he makes the squad, doesn't get injured, keeps scoring goals, etc. etc. etc.) The closing of this transfer window just can't come soon enough for me... until then I'll probably be back with more of the above until it finally does. Every single member in the squad has a price probably with the exception of Remy who isn't The Toon's player as he belongs to QPR.
That said it's pretty clear Cabaye is up for grabs just a matter of at what point our most benevolent owner takes the money. According to The Mirror this morning the minimum bid is £25m. Considering The Gooners tried to get him for £10m during last summer that's a hell of a jump in value and may put more Clubs off than attract them to pay up. God knows what the player himself thinks of it all and who may well see his World Cup dreams end in tatters as a direct result of this farce. As per normal at NUFC these days it's bugger all to do with football and all about money.

YOHAN Cabaye is set to join Paris Saint-Germain after Newcastle United agreed a fee for the midfielder. The Ligue 1 club have had an improved offer for Cabaye accepted after having an initial £14m bid rejected. Cabaye had been named in Newcastle’s squad for tomorrow night’s game against Norwich City at Carrow Road. However, the 28-year-old will now meet PSG officials to discuss personal terms - and he looks certain to be gone by the time the Tyne-Wear derby arrives on Saturday.

Unless something dramatic happens during the medical this afternoon in Paris it's probably safe to say the rumours about Cabaye leaving have finally hit the buffers, too late mate he's gone! Unable to even summon up the energy to be annoyed about this deal such is my total lack of excitement about anything our most benevolent owner decides to do regarding The Toon. The main question now is can Joe Feckinghere get in a decent replacement before the window slams shut? WL
