YOHAN Cabaye is set to join Paris Saint-Germain after Newcastle United agreed a fee for the midfielder. The Ligue 1 club have had an improved offer for Cabaye accepted after having an initial £14m bid rejected. Cabaye had been named in Newcastle’s squad for tomorrow night’s game against Norwich City at Carrow Road. However, the 28-year-old will now meet PSG officials to discuss personal terms - and he looks certain to be gone by the time the Tyne-Wear derby arrives on Saturday. Is it any wonder the FCB would sell our best player just before the Derby? This tosser is lower than a snakes belly in a wagon rut FFS

According to a number of reports and the Sports Press association Newcastle have made an undisclosed, but substantial bid for Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier. Time will tell whether there's any truth (sic) in the story and this player is the one to replace Cabaye The Lad. WL

Following the news that Newcastle will not appeal the Loic Remy suspension, Shefki Kuqi was spotted outside the training ground. Toon hope to sign him thru the end of the 2013/14 campaign.

UPDATE!!Joe Kinnear unable to land his man. Below, Kuqi pictured taking off from Newcastle International Airport without a contract in hand. When asked for comment, Kinnear only added, "We were interested in bringing Chef Coolio to Tyneside through the remainder of the season. Unfortunately, we were not able to agree on personal terms."

With the clock ticking ever closer to the closure of the Transfer Window here's some news taken from the Mag linking The Toon with yet another midfielder... News just in that the agent of Filip Djuricic has stated that he has been in talks with Alan Pardew this week for the transfer of the midfielder. The 22 year old moved to Benfica last summer having scored 17 goals in 66 league appearances for Heerenveen in the previous two seasons. It hasn’t quite worked out in Portugal with Duricic only starting four league games without a goal, although he did start three matches in the Champions League including a goal in the win against Anderlecht. The Serbian international has scored four goals in fifteen international appearances. Djuriic is said to also have been unhappy that the Benfica coach has preferred to use him as a second striker rather than central midfielder. According to One World Sports he player’s coach, Ulisses Santos has said, “It is true about Newcastle, I have been speaking with Alan Pardew this week and so let us see what happens by the end of tomorrow (Friday).” A transfer fee of 10m euros has been speculated – the player moved for 6m euros in the summer.
